Lovers of the original Stone Pale Ale recipe can get reunited with it in this Craft A Brew kit.

If you’ve been craving to taste the original Stone Pale Ale recipe one more time, then Craft A Brew has just delivered a dream come true. The latest addition to Craft A Brew’s “Craft Brewer Series” has them teaming up with the San Deigo-based brewery to present the Stone Pale Ale homebrew kit.

In 2015 Stone put the original Stone Pale Ale recipe to rest to make way for Stone Pale Ale 2.0. Now they are bringing the original recipe back to life with this new homebrew kit. The original recipe features toffee and caramel notes with the malt flavor right up front. Ahtanum hops come along and balances everything out.

The new kit comes in two sizes – a one gallon recipe and a five gallon recipe.

Stone’s founders, Greg Koch and Steve Wagner, liked the idea of including the recipe in a homebrew kit since it was originally created as a homebrew of their own back in 1995. The officially opened the brewery in 1996 and now Stone is the 9th largest craft brewer in the United States. No the Stone Pale Ale recipe has now come full circle and is back in the hands of homebrewers.

Craft A Brew’s “Craft Brewer Series” has also provided new homebrewers with the Resin IIPA from Sixpoint Brewing as well as the Intergalactic Pale Ale from 7eventh Sun Brewery recipies. The Orlando based company offers a variety of easy to use homebrew kits including a gluten free kit as well as one for hard cider (there’s even a kit for wine if that’s your thing – not ours, but who are we to judge?). They hope these kits will turn more beer drinkers in to beer makers.
